AQ, you said on last podcast one of your favorite song is Is He Worthy. Who sings it? We sing it at Church so I’m curious if its same one.
Have any of you girls read Dear Princess? Its for teen girls. I have only read about half of it but love it!! Its a lot about modesty, purity, and family. I also enjoy Beautiful Girlhood and Beyond Beautiful Girlhood.
Has anyone ever taken their CPR class? Did you like it?
I want to do mine soon.

Texas Cowboy, I’m not really an animal person but I am around blood but usually it dead things (deer squirrels, raccoon, that we shot). I have helped a lot with the skinning and cutting up of deer and my dad asked if I would like being a nurse ( for people:) If I do anything like that id be a nurse but I don’t know if I could do surgery exc. on people. I don’t even know if I will go to college yet. I want to take a first aid class and CPR.

Very nice, respectful, not weird or the complete opposite. Its like theirs not a in between. So I have a couple good girl friends but I mostly stay away as much as I can from the boys(especially the weird ones!:)

  • Aquarium on January 21st, 2020 - 12:25pm

It’s me, Brightwing. 🙂 I enjoy snow if there’s a lot of it, but where I live we tend to get a few inches that melt and turn to mud in a couple days. Mud is THE WORST!!!

I have had a busy last 24 hours! Our cat died last week (she was like 16!) so we were looking to get a kitten. Yesterday morning I saw a white and orange cat in our woods. We set a cat trap and put food in it. My dad has to work so he told me he needed me to see if we caught it and if so bring the trap in our garage bc it was going to get down to 14 degrees. So now we have a cat in our garage and my siblings are trying to choose a name:)

She is pretty healthy still but her 1st roommate (who she was good friends with) passed away. Then she got a new roommate and became friends with her then she passed away too. I need to relisten to “A Wise Surprise” with a more positive opinion. 😛 It was just ‘okay’ the first time I heard it.

“Playing Favorites” was so much fun!! I loved it!

My ranking of the episodes on album 68 are as follows:
    1) Always Home
    2) Playing Favorites
    3) Good Job!
    4) A Wise Surprise
    5) Breaking News

Tomorrow ws’ll see how “Further from the Truth” fits in with that list 😛

How would you rank the episodes?

  • Gisela on January 22nd, 2020 - 9:30am

Everyone, what are some of your favorite episodes of all time?

  • Gisela on January 22nd, 2020 - 9:35am

Some of my favorites are, “Tom for Mayor, Part 1-2”, “The Battle”, “Exit”, “The Plan B Episodes”, “Kids’ Radio”, “Gloobers”, “Charlotte”, and “A Sacrificial Escape”. Those are what I can list off the top of my head but AIO has *so* many amazing episodes.

Congrats on winning the Whit Awards!! @country girl and @Texas cowboy, hate to butt in on your conversation, but I’m kinda an animal person. I love horses best! I don’t see a lot of blood unless my brother or dad shot a deer or something. I don’t really want to be in the medical profession, but if I did, I’d probably be a nurse. What’s your favorite Odyssey character(s)? Mine are Connie, Jay, Harlow Doyle, and Olivia.

  • Whit Fan #1 on January 23rd, 2020 - 1:17pm

GISELA: So far I would rank the episodes:
    1. A Wise Surprise
    2. Playing Favorites
    3. Always Home
    4. Good Job!
    5. Breaking News

COOLCUZ: In answer to you medical profession question: Hmm thats a good question. I have no idea. Maybe a occupational therapist…

TEXAS COWBOY: Bye! Hope all goes well. See you later.

A medical profession? Ugh, I don’t even want to think about having to do that. How about a nurse in a doctor’s office, not one in a hospital? Would a doctor’s secretary count? 😛

  • Aquarium on January 23rd, 2020 - 1:28pm

Fav. Episode? Probably The Labyrinth Parts I-III, or Legacy. But I Slap Floor is pretty good too, as is Angels in Horsehair and A Forgiving Heart. (My fav. characters are Renee and Jason.)

  • country girl on January 24th, 2020 - 8:13am

Ryleigh, Are you new on here? My dad deer hunts and I have helped butcher with almost every deer hes shot this year. My favorite characters are of course Mr Whittaker, Matthew, Jay, and Connie. Occasionally I like Donna Barclay but sometimes she just sounds to bratty and boy crazy to me. I know the writers try to make characters like real people but I just don’t care for the ones about dating and crushes. What do you enjoy doing in you free time? I love reading, being outside, art, andcooking

  • country girl on January 24th, 2020 - 8:37am

I went squirrel hunting last weekend with my dad. I hope to shoot a deer next fall. I didn’t really have anything to do but wait for the squirrels so I though up this “silly poem”.
    I see a deer,
    shes pretty near,
    she glances up from eating,
maybe to see if I was shooting.
She goes back to her corn,
and I see two fawns who look recently born.
I raise my rifle to aim,
    and took a shot,
she sounded like she was in pain.
    The doe jumped up,
    and ran five feet,
    then landed in the creek!

  • Gisela on January 24th, 2020 - 11:04am

Ahhh! Another lover of “The Labyrinth”, I see? It’s so good 😀 I relistened to “One More Name” the other day and it is amazingly done, suspenseful, and emotional! So good!

Nice ranking! I am curious to know where “Further from the Truth” would fit into your list. I am not sure if it’s my favorite episode of the album or second favorite. The episode doesn’t feel…real…to me yet. It’s still sinking in 😛

  • Whit Fan #1 on January 24th, 2020 - 11:23am

My favorite movie is Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, My favorite Book is Lord of the Rings, and my favorite color is red. I like to read, draw, and ride my bike, run, jump, lots of outdoor stuff.

Yet another few things in common, lol. I LOVE Renee’s accent. I am also a horse person (as you know) so that’s another reason I like her. I must admit that I don’t really like math and although I tinker around with computers, I’m not crazy about them. I love how Jason’s recklessness always tends to get him into trouble. I enjoy his travelling bug (it spices things up in Odyssey.) Who is your favorite character?

  • Aquarium on January 24th, 2020 - 3:28pm

YOU LIKE THE WINGFEATHER SAGAS?!? NO WAY! I know several people who would be interested (WWIININJA, BOOKWORM, & WHIT FAN #1) and I TOTALLY would. I was trying to figure out if I should start one here. I started one on the Club, but my subscription ran out. :'(
YES! Start one! I’ll help any way I can.

  • Whit Fan #1 on January 24th, 2020 - 5:06pm

JELL-O and AQ: Yes, I would definitely be interested in a Wingfeather fan page.

GISELA: I agree! Further from the Truth was amazing. I wish I could talk about it on here, but only club members would have heard it. I can’t wait till all the episodes air on the radio so they can be talked about on here.

  • WWIININJA on January 24th, 2020 - 6:03pm

Yes, Renee has a great accent. I’ve only come to like math more recently as now I get to use a calculator for basic stuff that would take forever on paper. (Like 4,000,000 divided by 25 etc.) It’s definitely not my favorite subject, though.
Jason is my favorite character. I’ve always loved the characters that are in the military, police, secret service, etc. I love action scenes. Jason seems to have the most of those. 🙂

  • WWIININJA on January 24th, 2020 - 6:03pm

    I love the LOTR too!

  • WWIININJA on January 24th, 2020 - 6:04pm

Yeah, the episodes with Jason are always on my top list. 😉

  • WWININJA on January 24th, 2020 - 6:06pm

I’m only worried the mods won’t let us. It seems that they won’t allow it, according to the Posting Guidelines. 🙁

  • Bookworm on January 24th, 2020 - 6:40pm

    You’re back!!! *cheers*
I’d love to have a Wingfeather fan page! 😀

  • Bookworm on January 24th, 2020 - 6:47pm

So here’s my opinion of the new episodes in the order I liked them in:
    1. Always Home (So awesome!) and Further from the truth (Can’t decide which is better)
    2. Good Job!
    3. Breaking News
    4. A Wise Surprise
    5. Playing Favorites

Further From The Truth is good! I’m not going to say anything about it bc I don’t want to accidentally spoil it for anyone. 🙂

  • Marisa on January 24th, 2020 - 7:51pm

that is by no means a silly poem… that is art. XD

  • Anonymous on January 24th, 2020 - 10:57pm

I would say I’m in college and I listen to them while I’m doing hw

  • Jell-O on January 25th, 2020 - 7:24am

YES! I’m on it! Could you let those other people know for me? I’ll try and find a good page and think about what questions or whatever we should have! I’ve never started a chat page about a book or anything before, so I might need some ideas, if your like to help!

If you could choose to have any animal for a pet (and I mean any real animal!), what would it be?

  • Aquarium on January 27th, 2020 - 11:59am

Me too! I enjoy algebra (much to the amazement of my older sibling) and hate geometry. I cannot use a calculator yet, which drives me nuts. What curriculum do you use? Are you homeschooled? I am. My family uses Math-U-See.

  • Aquarium on January 27th, 2020 - 12:19pm

I can look for pages as well! I’ll spread the word.
On the AIO page we were allowed to role-play, so that’s basically what we did there. Since there is no role-playing here, *sigh*, we’ll have to just talk about the books. I think the fan page will be a place for people with similar interests to find one another. So, yea! That’s pretty much it. And, please call me AQ. 🙂
    ~Wingfeather fan

  • Aquarium on January 27th, 2020 - 12:20pm

I looked at the rules, and I didn’t find anything about fan pages. I think they just meant no role-playing. :'( But we can still talk about the books!

  • Mermaid12 on January 27th, 2020 - 12:37pm

AQ: the Bible study is going well. I am good!! Someone has been doing the verses. I miss u!!

  • WWiININJA on January 27th, 2020 - 1:48pm

    AQ: Good!

  • Whit Fan #1 on January 27th, 2020 - 1:49pm

AQ: I use Math U See too! I don’t like math but Math U See is better than other curriculum I’ve done.

COOLCUZ: That’s a great question. Hmm. Any animal? Maybe some kind of large cat like a tiger or something.

  • WWIININJA on January 27th, 2020 - 1:50pm

AQ: My older sister loves algebra too!
    I am homeschooled.
I use a curriculum called Life of Fred by Polka Dot Publishing. It’s fun, but you have to work.

  • WWIININJA on January 27th, 2020 - 1:51pm

    A horse. Or a dog.

  • Aquarium on January 27th, 2020 - 4:37pm

    Cool Cuz,
Any animal? No matter the expense or time commitment? A horse. If not a horse, than a cat. If not a cat, then a fish. (I have several, hence the name Aquarium)

  • COOLCUZ on January 27th, 2020 - 5:14pm

Did any one ever correctly guess where the podcast music came from? Is it I Want My Btv?

How about the 2011 Kelly Stables page?

  • lotrfan on January 27th, 2020 - 7:21pm

Hey all. I was wondering if this page had a theme. I looked through some of the comments, but I couldn’t find any patterns.

  • Gisela on January 27th, 2020 - 8:07pm

The last two episodes of album 68 were flawless. I relistened to “Breaking News” and “A Wise Surprise” and I like them much more than I did on my first listen 😛 All of the episodes on album 68 were good at the very least while some absolutely blew it out of the water! I am going to buy the CD of album 68. 😀 I recommend the album!

  • Tatertots3 on January 27th, 2020 - 11:27pm

What do you guys do here?

  • Marisa on January 28th, 2020 - 7:10am

    @WWIINinja @LOTRfan

Ayyy I love Lotr too! Who are ya’ll’s favorite characters? Do you prefer the books or the movies?

  • country girl on January 28th, 2020 - 8:18am

    Marissa, Thank you!
How’s everyone’s week so far? Mine is just busy with school.
AQ, are you doing Pre-Algebra or Algebra? I used Math u see for two years. Pre Algebra was super simple to me. Then once we started Algebra it was much harder and we found out it had a LOT of algebra 2 in it too. So we switched to Teaching Textbooks. I like it soo much better!
What are y’all using for writing? I started a Language book at the beginning of this year and we soon realized it for 11th or12th graders….

  • COOLCUZ on January 28th, 2020 - 10:16am

Yeah…. The action episodes are the best.

  • Whit Fan #1 on January 28th, 2020 - 1:18pm

WWIININJA: I actually used Life of Fred for math when I was younger!

COOLCUZ: Another answer to your “Any animal question” also maybe an otter, bald eagle, or marmot. If it had to be an actual pet I would want a cat or dog.

  • lotrfan on January 28th, 2020 - 1:39pm

Wow! There are a lot more people who are fans of LOTR than I thought. My favorite character is Legolas. I have finished the movies, but I’ve only gotten a little over half-way through the books, so I’m not sure which I like better.?

  • WWIININJA on January 28th, 2020 - 2:37pm

I love Aragorn, Legolas and Gandalf.
I’ve never watched the movies, but I don’t think anything could be better than the books.

  • WWIININJA on January 28th, 2020 - 2:38pm

    We just talk. 🙂

  • COOLCUZ on January 28th, 2020 - 3:23pm

Not this page. We’re all just chatting about whatever.

    We just talk!

  • lotrfan on January 28th, 2020 - 5:53pm

OK, thanks. I couldn’t find any patterns, but I thought I’d ask.?

  • Tatertots3 on January 28th, 2020 - 6:04pm

  • Jell-O on January 28th, 2020 - 6:40pm

Sound good. At first, I though it would be fun to pick one that has something to do with the books, like type “Janner” into the search bar and click the first one that comes up, but that didn’t work. Really, any page will do… so see you at the Kelly Stables page!

  • BooKworm on January 28th, 2020 - 6:45pm

I’m a LOTR fan too! Legolas is the best!!!!! 😛

  • BJ11 on January 28th, 2020 - 9:01pm

    hi everybody

  • Aquarium on January 29th, 2020 - 1:39pm

I’m a Hobbit/LOTR fan as well! I must say that I enjoyed the Hobbit movies more than the books, but I wasn’t a big fan of the LOTR movies (weird, right?), so I think I’ll like the book better. I haven’t read it yet, but I think I’ll like it! I am reading the Silmarillion right now. Is anyone else? It is hard to understand but gives you a lot of background! My favorite characters are Tauriel, Legolas, and Thorin. If we are doing just the books, Legolas, Thorin, and Elrond. 😀

  • Aquarium on January 29th, 2020 - 1:39pm

  • Aquarium on January 29th, 2020 - 1:42pm

    Country Girl,
I am in Algebra. Pre-Algebra was pretty simple, and once you get through the graphing part of Algebra the rest of the book is easier. My family tried Teaching Textbooks for a while, but we didn’t learn anything so we switched back to Math-U-See. Do you like algebra or geometry better?
I’m doing In Their Sandals & the Blue Book of Grammar for LA this year. In Their Sandals has you write stories from the Bible. (continue)

  • Aquarium on January 29th, 2020 - 1:44pm

    Country Girl (continued),
I used to do IEW (Institute for Excellence in Writing) for my writing, but I switch back and forth between that and other curriculum. Have you ever done the One Year Adventure Novel curriculum? It sounds awesome! What curriculum are you using?

  • Aquarium on January 29th, 2020 - 1:44pm

    Whit Fan #1,
I used to do Life of Fred too! It was really funny, but I didn’t learn much so I went back to Math-U-See.

  • Jell-O on January 29th, 2020 - 4:36pm

I have done IEW and Life of Fred! However, I disliked the IEW writing class, because even though I learned a lot, my writing as getting bogged down, unnatural, crammed together, with all the words, sentence starters, and topic-clinchers I had to throw in. I completed both levels, though, and switched to a different creative writing curriculum that taught me good story structures without weighing my stories down with unnecessary words.

  • country girl on January 30th, 2020 - 7:03am

Aquarium, I haven’t done geometry yet. Some curriculus are set up different. I did pre Algebra last year then I’m on algebra. Next year I will do geometry then following Algebra 2. I hope this makes sense!I use a variety of curriculums. Writing I’m doing writing strands,History and science I’m doing Masterbooks, math teaching textbooks. My electives are intro to logic by masterbooks and home ec by Christian light.

  • country girl on January 30th, 2020 - 7:06am

Aq, no I have never done the novel writing book. I know a girl that did it when she was 17. is it just for highschooler or older highschoolers? Your grammar sounds great too!

  • Aquarium on January 31st, 2020 - 2:46pm

    Country Girl,
Ooh, you did Writing Strands as well? I was doing that and In Their Sandals this year, but I wasn’t learning a lot just doing random chunks from Writing Strands, so I switched to Blue Book. History I am doing Mystery of History (love it!) For science, I am also doing Masterbooks! I’m doing Physics, WBU? I’m also learning sign language.

  • Aquarium on January 31st, 2020 - 3:01pm

    Country Girl,
I don’t know. I think it’s for any high schooler. It takes you through the writing process, and by the end of the year you should have a complete adventure novel.

  • country girl on February 3rd, 2020 - 6:28am

AQ, I am doing the ocean, weather, astronomy and minerals science set. I did mystery of history last year but we decided to switch to something that didn’t have soo much extra stuff. I did like it though! I want to do sign language next year. Does it qualify as a language?

  • Aquarium on February 3rd, 2020 - 5:38pm

    Country Girl,
I don’t know for sure. I think so! I am not in High School yet, so I’m not sure. 😉

  • WWIININJA on February 3rd, 2020 - 6:24pm

I am trying to read the Silmarilion, but it is a hard read. Not much action, at least at where I am. I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it before I have to return it to the library. 😉

  • COOLCUZ on February 4th, 2020 - 9:53am

I do Abeka. I don’t recommend it to anyone. 🙁 They are a Christian homeschool company, but WAY TOO PATRIOTIC! I’m patriotic, but it almost sounds as if they worship the country.

  • Cartoons on February 5th, 2020 - 12:51pm

I’m sorry to budge into your conversation , but I also do Abeka and I think it’s great! I don’t think it sounds like they worship the country….? I love that it’s has a Christian theme and Christian teachers. Do you watch the videos? I have a friend that only uses the books. I love Abeka! It’s pretty hard sometimes though. What grade are you in?

  • Aquarium on February 6th, 2020 - 2:44pm

IK,R? It is pretty un-action for the first several chapters. How far along are you? When the time the Silmarills are crafted things heat up a bit. 🙂 It definitely takes a level of concentration I haven’t had to use with books for a long time!

  • COOLCUZ on February 29th, 2020 - 12:42pm

    It’s so quiet here…..

  • Bookworm on March 2nd, 2020 - 5:57pm

    I’m here! 😀
BTW feel free to call me by my pen name Bethel! I know Bookworm is a lot to type. 😛

  • Moriah on March 4th, 2020 - 8:05pm

    @ BETHEl,
Hi! How are doing this week? What do you want to talk about?

  • Bookworm on March 5th, 2020 - 4:20pm

I’m doing really well! I went to a fundraiser for the horse barn I go to on Monday, and Tuesday I got the last book in the Green Ember series in! I’m so happy! 😀 HBU?
I don’t have a preference! What do you want to talk about?

  • Moriah on March 13th, 2020 - 7:16pm

Cool! What book is it? What is your favorite Green series book?

  • Bookworm on March 17th, 2020 - 5:25pm

We got Ember’s End! It’s really good!
I don’t know which is my fav! Maybe this last one?? But my fav character and another character I really like dies so those parts are very sad. 🙁 I can’t remember; you read the Green Ember right?

  • Bookworm on March 30th, 2020 - 2:33pm

(I’m not sure if my other comment went through so I’m trying again)
    Ember’s End; it’s really good!
Oooo, that’s a tough one. I’m not sure! Maybe the last bc there’s a happy ending? You’ve read the series, right? (I can’t remember)
