We love this community, and are so glad to have each and every one of you here. But lately, we’ve noticed some alarming trends in comments. Rather than just not approve the comments without an explanation, we thought we’d do a quick explanation of a few things.
First of all, many of you are worried about being “impersonated” on the blog. We have taken steps to make sure this stops, or at least happens less frequently. Because of this, we can now see when you are posting as different people. Please keep this in mind when you are posting, as we can also see when you are having conversations between your usernames. If we don’t know which username is telling the truth, we can’t approve your comments. Because it causes confusion, we will no longer allow you to post under multiple usernames (and we’ve updated the Posting Guidelines to say this).
Second, we have noticed a lot of unkind comments on the blog. This is not a place of negativity, and if you post something that Whit or Connie wouldn’t say, we cannot let those comments through. We cannot approve comments that are unkind or inappropriate. Please remember what it says in Luke 6:31: “do to others as you would have them do to you.”
We try hard to make this a safe place. Any comment that has identifying information beyond your state will not be allowed to post.
Lastly, please be patient and kind to your moderators. Moderating is not our full-time job, but we do it because we love this community and want to help. If a post is taking a long time to come through, but meets all the guidelines, it’s probably because we are working hard to bring you new Adventures in Odyssey episodes! All comments will be moderated as soon as we have time.
Thanks for being a part of this community – we love reading all of your comments, and we regularly pray for you. Have a great day!
